May 25 Book Release of National 19th Amendment Society - Continuing Carrie's Legacy Noon - 2:00
Stop out and meet the author, Wendy Johnson, and editor, Susan Jacob, plus meet leaders who have continued the legacy of Carrie, preserved Carrie's Girlhood Home and built the Interpretive Center. Join us for refreshments! Books will be available for purchase.
May 27 Band Fest Parade (Mason City ) 10:00 a.m.

July 4 Parade in Charles City
National 19th Amendment Society suffrage marchers
National 19th Amendment Society will re-create a suffrage march. Please join us as we celebrate the approaching 100th Anniversary of women's suffrage! To be a member of the march, call the Interpretive Center at 641-228-3336.
July 26 RAGBRAI visits Charles City
Support Crew for riders are being invited to stop out that morning for refreshments at Carrie's Girlhood Home and Interpretive Center

August 2 Prairie Day Camp - grades 1 - 6, download click here 10:00 - 2:00 p.m.
A fun day-long camp for students in grades 2 through 4 where they will experience what life was like when Carrie was a young girl. Activities will include making fresh-pressed apple cider, create their own quilt square design and put it on a cloth bag, and dress up in period clothes. Lunch is provided. Reservations are requested; call 641-228-3336 to enroll.
August 17 Annual Meeting (at the Interpretive Center) 9:00 a.m.
August 19 Annual Open House 10:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Stop out and tour Carrie's Girlhood Home and Interpretive Center. Displays will include student essay's about Carrie, crafts created during the Prairie Day Camp, and the plaque honoring Carrie which was installed April, 2017 at the Floyd County Courthouse.
Cancelled Family Apple Picking Day Cancelled
Due to growing conditions, the apple orchard at Carrie's girlhood home produced a small number of apples this year. We regret that there will not be a Family Apple Picking Day this fall but we look forward to Fall 2018 and a bountiful harvest. Mark your calendar for Sunday, September 2, 2018!
